At the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdowns in the U.S., Netflix's Jasmyn Lawson tweeted, "Can we all watch Homecoming as a group some time this week and relive that again???" The nation unified to watch Homecoming on Wednesday, March 18 at 9pm EST. My best friend Bria and I decided to hop on Instagram Live and host an impromptu watch party. For three hours straight we danced, laughed, screamed and stanned.
Born out of that chaotic moment is CHAOTICA, a twice monthly Instagram Live show dedicated to dissecting, discussing and quite literally screaming about all things pop culture. Topics have ranged from Nicki Minaj to the 2000s to our favorite new artists. We move with the current of pop culture, going so far as to include new content hours before showtime (i.e. the Savage Remix). CHAOTICA must be lived in the moment–there are no recordings.
